Men of Honor Retreat:  Calling all men over 18, you are invited to the first NLCC Men of Honor Retreat, September 17-19 at Rhode’s Grove in Chambersburg (90 minutes from here). This is a ministry of New Life Community Church as we seek to grow together in Christ at this retreat. You will be challenged to be a man serving Christ with a mission. The cost is $111 with a discount for multiple attendees from the same family. We want you to come, so if cost is an issue, please see Pastor John.

City Life -   The City Life Ministry is a new outreach of New Life Community Church to share the love of Christ in Baltimore. The ministry is starting as a simple Christian discipleship ministry to men in south-west Baltimore. In July of 2009, Bethany Lutheran Church allowed us to use their building in the Violetsville area of Baltimore as a meeting place (near St. Agnes Hospital). We meet each Tuesday from 10:45 – noon for a time of worship, prayer and Bible study followed by a lunch provided by members of New Life Community Church. In order to better help men who desire addiction recovery in the power of Jesus Christ, we have worked to refer men to the Spiritual Recovery Program at the Helping-Up Mission.  This is a great ministry in the city of Baltimore.

Co-Ed Softball:  We are forming a team with CrossLife again this year.  Games will be held at 4 or 6 pm starting in April.  There's still room on the team so please see Pastor John if you are interested in playing.

Samaritan's Purse (the ministry that does Operation Christmas Child) is on the ground, working in Haiti and Chile.  This Christ-centered relief organization has been able to disribute emergency relief kits through a local church in Haiti.  They expect to work in Haiti for at least the next two years.  Samaritan's Purse is also making an impact in Chile as they have been given permission to work during restricted hours even though the hard-hit city of Concepcion has been placed under a strict curfew.  To see more details about the work in these countries, click on the logo above.  If you would like to help with the relief effort, you can donate directly on their website by clicking on the logo, or by designating "Haiti" or "Chile" on your offering envelope.

Track and Field Camp:  We had a great week of camp again this year.  Over 100 children were able to hear about the love of God for them and the salvation offered in Jesus.

Hurricane Relief   New Life Community church collected supplies to help the town of La Piedra in the Dominican Republic recover from Hurricane Noel which devastated the town. The Lord has opened doors for Pastor Radhames in Pimentel to help with rebuilding the town in a location less prone to flooding.  More opportunities to help with relief will be announced as plans are made.  For more information, please see the missions page.
