Caring Relevant Biblical

Events

2000 years ago a baby was born in a stable and set in the feeding trough used by the local sheep.  What humble place for the King of Kings, the maker of all that is to be born!  Yet he did that for you and me.  Jesus came because of His great love for us.

Join us on Christmas Eve at 7:00 for a traditional candle  light service as we celebrate the birth of the Savior.

Hay Ride and Campfire: Saturday, October 22 at Sharp's Farm in Howard County.  The hay ride starts a 5:00 p.m., but be sure to arrive early to enjoy the corn maze and of course check out the country store.  For info on the farm, go to www.sharpfarm.com.

Thanksgiving Dinner: Come together with the Church family on Saturday, November 19 for great dinner with the church family.  We are taking care of the turkey (and ham for thosewho may tire of turkey) and everyone else will bring side dishes and, of course, the desserts!  What a great way to get new meal ideas for the family gatherings this holiday season!

Operation Christmas Child:  Now is the time to start saving those shoe boxes!  This Christmas we will again be participating with Samaritan's Purse and Project Angel Tree to send needed supplies to children around the world.  For more information on how to pack a shoe box, click on the photo to the right to go to the Samaritan's Purse web site.

Annual Memorial Weekend Campout: We had a fabulous, if a little wet (okay, a lot wet!) Memorial Weekend, 2011.  Tim and Bridget are already scouting out campgrounds for the 2012 camping trip.  If you've never joined us for one of these trips, you should make plans to join us for Memorial Weekend next year.  We always have a blast and the food is fantastic!

Link to Track and Field Flier Track and Field Camp:  We had a great week of camp again this year.  Over 100 children were able to hear about the love of God for them and the salvation offered in Jesus.  It won't be long before we begin planning for the 2012 camp, so if you have any questions or would like an e-mail notification of the camp, please send an e-mail to nlcc@GetaNewLife.org.

Ministry in the Dominican Republic:   New Life Community helps with various projects in the Dominican Republic through the ministry of Pastor Radhames in Pimentel. As a church we have helped with supplies following a devastating hurricaine flooding out LaPiedra, we have gone on medical missions, provided food, medical, and school supplies as well as toys for the children. Several members have served on missions trips to the DR.  For more information, please see the missions page.
